SingHealth’s Investigational Medicine Unit (IMU) is a dedicated early phase clinical research unit that supports the research of commercial partners and independent investigators. It is a recognised site for the conduct of early phase trials by the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore (HSA).

Located at the heart of the SGH Campus, it can tap the wide range of medical experience on the Campus, allowing it to conduct clinical trials in patients across the medical spectrum as well as in healthy volunteers.

SingHealth IMU collaborates with researchers and investigators in higher education as well as in the public healthcare sector to evaluate novel drugs, medical devices and diagnostic kits for various disease types relevant to the region: The unit welcomes collaborations with the best – individuals or institutions – local and overseas. The success of existing partnerships comes from a combination of synergy and mutual respect.
