The DKFZ Summer Internship in Cancer Research is an 8-week program for outstanding and ambitious undergraduate students who are interested in gaining laboratory research experience. The internship will take place from 1st August until 30th September 2012.
The Internship is organized by the Helmholtz International Graduate School in Cancer Research of the German Cancer Research Center (Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum; DKFZ).
To be eligible to apply for the DKFZ Summer Internship you must be working towards a masters or bachelors degree and be able to provide proof that you are enrolled in a university for the full duration of the internship (i.e. until the end of September 2012).

As part of your application, you will be asked to provide electronic copies (PDF format) of the following documents:

In addition, you will be asked to provide a letter of support from your university supervisor/advisor.
We particularly encourage applications from international students. A limited number of fellowships for the Summer School are available, but applicants are strongly encouraged to organize their own funding.
The deadline for application (including the letter of support) is 15th February 2012. We will inform you by the end of March, 2012 whether your application has been shortlisted for the second round of review, during which you will be asked to select from a list of summer research projects.
