The Pilot Clinician Investigator (CI) salary support programme aims to support the contributions of CIs who are important and critical components in Singapore’s vision to be a preferred site for clinical research and clinical trials. This programme seeks to provide funding for clinicians’ research time and to encourage more clinicians to participate in clinical research. In the first instance, NMRC will be launching a one-time grant call in September 2010 to clinicians participating in existing NRF-funded clinical research projects funded through NMRC, i.e. TCR Flagship Programmes, STaR awards, CSA awards, and EDGs/NIGs. Subsequent calls for applications will be integrated with the routine NMRC Grant Calls held in May and Nov.
The NMRC will be having 2 roadshows to provide the details of the programme including the call for application, eligibility and review criteria and the funding mechanism. The details of the roadshows are as follows:
(A) Roadshow 1: 23 August 2010 (Monday), 5.30pm, College of Medicine Building (COMB) Auditorium, Ministry of Health, 16 College Road, Singapore 169854
(B) Roadshow 2: 26 August 2010 (Thursday), 5.30pm, University Hall Auditorium, National University of Singapore, Lee Kong Chian Wing, Level 2
