The Clinician Scientist Award (CSA) aims to build a talent pool of clinician scientists in Singapore and to support them in carrying out internationally competitive and impactful translational and clinical research. The scheme is a key component of the overall human capital development programme to enable Singapore to establish a critical mass of high quality clinician-scientists.
Supported by NRF, the award has been structured with the CSA Investigator (INV) as the entry point for the younger clinician scientists, and the CSA Senior Investigator (SI) award targeted at the independent and more established clinician scientist. It aims to provide between 3-5 years of funding support to clinicians in public hospitals, specialised centers and national disease centers.
