Synopsis:
This half-day seminar will provide participants with the following:
- Determine the type and purpose of essential documents to be maintained in a research study.
- Appreciate the responsibilities of an investigator in maintaining essential documents.
- Identify common pitfalls in essential documents and device measures in preventing these pitfalls.
- Understand the archiving procedures for essential documents following closure of the study.
- Brainstorm on issues affecting subject recruitment.
- Identify various methods employed in subject recruitment (e.g. advertisements, posters / flyers, referrals, transport re-imbursement, etc).
- Appreciate the need to obtain written approvals from DSRB and HSA (if applicable) for subject recruitment methods before they can be implemented.
- Apply HSA guidelines for advertisements in Singapore.
- Learn how to use the various tools to run the research study effectively
