What are TLL Symposia?
TLL symposia provide a conducive environment for the sharing of scientific ideas between researchers from around the world. Every year, we invite renowned speakers from the U.S., Europe, Japan, China etc. to give talks on their research, focusing on various themes. The most recent TLL Symposium, “Microbes as Models & Pathogens”, was held on January 2011 in our Auditorium, and researchers discussed in depth on their respective work involving microbes, including virus, bacteria, fungi and plasmodia. Previous symposia have touched on aspects of evolution and cell biology of development and diseases, functional genomics, signalling and replication. The 10th Symposium 2012 will bring together researchers working on second messenger systems, peptides and hormones, and pheromones.
