The STR welcomes collaboration from all researchers who require the services of the Biospecimen Bank to process and store samples in connection with an ongoing research project. As with all research, you need to have a valid IRB (Institutional Review Board) certificate to show that your research plan is ethically acceptable. The first thing you do is contact our Biospecimen Bank staff to discuss the needs of your project and for assistance in preparing the application. Your completed application form will be submitted to the STR Committee for consideration and approval. You (or your clinician collaborator) will need to explain to your patients the procedure for donation and use the Biospecimen Bank consent form. Cost of storage is charged at $20* per "9x9" cell divider box per year excludes processing cost which will be calcuated based on protocols and consumables used. (No charge for withdrawal)
